Initial Thoughts: Eat a Dick, Sherman
Dennis Franchione, widely recognized as the worst football coach in Texas A&M history, was criticized for squeaking by a couple of tough non BCS schools in Utah and Fresno State.
In his first game as Head Coach, Mike Sherman has his ass worn out by Arkansas Fucking State. For those who didn’t attend the game, this wasn’t about goofy turnovers and lightning strikes. Arkansas Fucking State came in and outplayed Mike Sherman’s team.
Maybe it’s unfair to come down hard on Shermbank for the shitfest we saw tonight, but….actually, it’s not unfair at all. Shermatode was roundly criticized as a hire that brought nothing to the A&M program. He has to win and win convincingly to prove that he’s not the embodiment of status quo that he has been made out to be.
Pop Quiz #1: Name the first head coach in the history of the Green Bay Packers to lose a playoff game at Lambeau Field.
Pop Quiz #2: Name the first (and only) head coach in the history of the Green Bay Packers to lose TWO playoff games at Lambeau Field.
Pop Quiz #3: Name the A&M footall head coach who got his shit pushed in by Arkansas Fucking State in front of the second largest crowd in the history of Kyle Field.
Hint: It’s the same guy
Congrats, Little Shermaid, you’ve already failed in ways Dennis Franchione couldn’t imagine. Whoop?
King Puppy
Ok, so “Fire Sherman”, right?
Gotcha.
I bet Fran thumbed through his edition of the Austin American Statesman and smiled a little bit when he scanned the article on this game, just Slocum used to do when Fran was losing games.
2nd largest crowd ever at Kyle??? I guess aggsy reads as good as tech. 78k is nowhere near the Top 25 in attendance #’s.
mctrees02, thanks for the head’s up.
That should’ve read “second largest crowd ever for a HOME OPENER at Kyle Field.” Apologies. I did a couple of lines before I posted, so I didn’t proofread as thoroughly as I should have.
We appreciate your continued readership and support.
Darth, please point out where I advocated firing Shermie. Thanks in advance.
